Born and bred in Shropshire (no tractor, honest) Jamie started playing instruments before he could walk!. Classically trained on piano, flute and tuba (!), he loves nothing more than to play that there music.

Having tried his hand performing at all sorts of levels - schools, orchestras marching bands - (where he went the wrong way!) - he has settled into playing bass and singing in the JCB and loves it!

He started bass with The Timedivers over 10 years ago. He was originally drafted in as a keyboard player, but the then bass player decided to up and leave so Jamie stepped in and hasn’t looked back and now has taken on lead vocals as well!.

“Having never really tried singing up front until the JCB formed, it’s all still a learning curve but one to which I am really enjoying”. He still, on occasion, plays piano in the band when the song requires it but his real joy is to stand back, play the bass and watch John work his magic on the guitar.
