Thanks for visiting the John Cubbin Band website.

Things are gathering momentum nicely now after the band’s formation in January 2008.  

The gigs are coming in thick and fast and the band is getting better and better each time we play.

A brief history: Basically The John Cubbin band - John, Jamie and David were once part of The Timedivers, a successful Shropshire blues/rock band. 

When the Timedivers split at the end of 2007 the three of us decided we wanted to carry on making great music together. So the John Cubbin Band (or JCB as its already being shortened to) was formed.

Jamie the bass has developed into a very powerful lead vocalist and we have all improved musically to become one of the busiest bands around in a very short space of time.

It’s all very exciting and we’re busy writing new material for the first JCBand album which we’ll be starting to record this summer and hopefully have ready for 2009 sometime.

This interactive site will contain news of all our gigs, recordings, new photos and gossip - anything we feel may be of interest. 

There are a few of our own songs included  (see ‘Studio Tracks‘) as well as a taste of the live show (see ‘Live Tracks’)

We have recently introduced some acoustic songs into the set (David plays bass on a few numbers) and have found that they add a nice bit of variety to the overall sound. We can, if required, put on a full acoustic show and recently had a very good reception at The Belle Vue Tavern in Shrewsbury playing purely acoustic music.
